NIV Interview Waiver Program Now Permanent

In January 2012, the Department of State introduced a two-year visa interview waiver pilot program. This pilot program was one of the cornerstones of President Obama’s initiative to improve and speed up the visa process for certain categories of travelers to the U.S.

This pilot program has now been made permanent, pursuant to modifications made by the State Department to the 9 FAM 41.102 Notes.

North Carolina Immigration Attorney

Legal Counsel for Immigration, Family Law & Criminal Cases

At Fayad Law, P.C. we are proud to provide clients across North Carolina with caring and effective advocacy for all types of immigration, family law, and criminal cases. Our skilled attorneys are committed to seeking the best possible outcome for every client, no matter the circumstances of their unique case.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals seek to enter the United States for travel, work, business, education, or to live here as permanent residents. Each of these types of immigration requires the applicant to meet certain criteria and to complete a detailed legal process in order to obtain an entry visa. This process is complex and, without the guidance of a knowledgeable North Carolina immigration lawyer, an applicant could suffer delays or be denied a visa altogether. Do not let this happen to you! Contact the offices of Fayad Law, P.C. today to discuss your options with an immigration lawyer who will truly care for you and the outcome of your case.

Fayad Law, P.C. has a team of attorneys with 32 years combined experience, and they focus on providing the highest quality immigration services available. Our attorneys come from a variety of immigrant backgrounds and can relate to clients in ways that many other immigration lawyers cannot. We know what you are facing - we have been there ourselves - and we want nothing more than to help you pursue the American Dream of freedom and prosperity in the United States. Our clients are treated as individuals instead of case numbers, and we work tirelessly to protect our clients' family unity and rights as they pursue a green card or a nonimmigrant visa to enter the U.S. as soon as possible. Learn more about how we can help you by contacting our firm and speaking with an immigration lawyer as soon as possible. We serve clients throughout North Carolina; we also have offices in Richmond and Fairfax, Virginia; and Washington, DC; and we serve clients globally.

Types of Immigration Matters We Handle for Clients Around the World

Are you interested in family immigration? Our firm can help you pursue a green card as the family member of a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or we can help you obtain a K visa, such as a K-1 fiancé(e) visa or an alien-spouse immigrant visa. Spouses and children, as well as parents and siblings of U.S. citizens (and permanent residents, in some cases) are eligible for family-based immigration.

Our firm also handles employment immigration visas. If you are looking for temporary entry into the U.S. for employment purposes, you may be eligible for an employment-based (EB) visa. Depending on your employment status and purpose for entry, you could obtain an EB-1 priority worker visa, an EB-2 professional visa, an EB-3 skilled worker visa, an EB-4 special immigrant visa, or an EB-5 immigrant investor visa. An immigration lawyer from our firm can provide you with further details and help you determine the right choice for you.

You may also be able to obtain a visa for business immigration purposes if your employer needs to send you to the U.S. for trade and investment purposes or if you are looking for temporary work in the United States. You could apply for an H-1B specialty occupation visa, an H-2B seasonal visa, or an H-2A seasonal agricultural visa if there are insufficient U.S. workers to fill available positions or if your company could sponsor such immigrants in order to fill empty positions. E-1 treaty trader visas and E-2 treaty investor visas are available for owners and employees of commercial companies in trade with the U.S, and L-1 intracompany transfer visas can help you transfer to a branch of your company that is in the United States or allow an employer to facilitate such a transfer for the benefit of the company.

Deportation Defense Services

Perhaps you have already immigrated to the United States, but are facing deportation. Immigrants can be removed from the country for overstaying their visa, committing a felony or crime, failing to request asylum or refugee status, and other reasons. These accusations of immigration law violations can be false, in which case you need a skilled deportation defense attorney to fight for a stay of removal and to prove that you do not deserve to go through deportation proceedings. Fayad Law, P.C. has a detailed understanding of immigration laws and your rights. We are more than capable of providing the defense you need when facing deportation from the United States.

From ICE custody to removal proceedings, we handle all matters related to immigration law, and we are committed to protecting your right to remain in the United States. For all ICE immigration problems, we are here to help, including matters related to an immigration bond issued by an ICE deportation officer, an immigration judge, or through voluntary departure. Our professional legal services also extend to matters related to custody of determination and status violations as well. Fayad Law, P.C. is here to help in whatever way we can, so we urge you to contact our office today.

Naturalized Citizenship in the United States

Fayad Law, P.C. can also assist you in pursuing naturalized citizenship in the United States, a process that involves residency requirements, fingerprinting, an interview, and English and civics tests. Becoming a citizen is a complex process, which is why you would benefit most from having the counsel and guidance of an immigration lawyer. Our firm can help you complete every form correctly and take all the necessary steps to prepare for the citizenship interview and tests so that you pass them and obtain the benefits of U.S. citizenship.

Other Services for North Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC

Immigration can be affected by other areas of law, as well. Fayad Law, P.C. is particularly skilled in handling family law matters that relate to immigration, as well as criminal defense of immigrant clients. Issues such as domestic violence and divorce can endanger your immigrant status in the U.S., and criminal charges could result in deportation. Our attorneys can study your case and provide the representation and defense that you need in these difficult situations.
