Immigration Law Practice Areas

Asylum or Refugee Immigration
If you are fleeing your country of origin because of persecution based on your race, gender, religion, political views, social standing, or any other such area, you may be able to seek asylum or refuge in the United States. Refuge can be requested from outside of the U.S., but asylum must be requested at a U.S. port of entry.

Business Immigration
Our lawyers can help you learn about different business visas for temporary work in the United States, such as H-1A seasonal visas, E-1 treaty trader and E-2 treaty investor visas, L-1 intracompany transfer visas, and more.

Deportation & Removal
Are you facing deportation from the United States? Whether you have overstayed your visa, been charged with a felony or crime involving moral turpitude, failed to file for asylum in time, or did anything else that is cause for removal, our firm can provide aggressive defense.

Employment Immigration
There are five priority levels for employment-based visas. EB-1 visas are for priority workers, EB-2 visas are for professionals, EB-3 visas are for skilled or professional workers, EB-4 visas are for special immigrants, and EB-5 visas are for immigrant investors.

Family Immigration
K visas allow spouses, children, fiancé(e)s, and children of fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to enter the U.S. with a nonimmigrant visa and join their family. Parents and siblings may obtain a family visa, as well, but only if their sponsoring family member is a U.S. citizen.

Green Cards
Immigrants who are granted the status of lawful permanent resident can obtain a green card to prove their immigrant status. Permanent residency can be achieved from outside the U.S. through consular processing, or by requesting an adjustment of status from nonimmigrant to immigrant.

Naturalization & Citizenship
Immigrants who have resided in the U.S. as a permanent resident for at least five years may be eligible to pursue U.S. citizenship. The process involves an interview, English test, and civics test, so be sure to hire an immigration attorney who can help you prepare.

Nonimmigrant Visas
There are numerous nonimmigrant visas available for travel, pleasure, study, employment, and business. Speak with a lawyer from Fayad Law, P.C. today if you are looking to enter the United States temporarily. We can help you determine which visa you need and assist you through the application process.

Criminal Defense & Immigration
Have you been charged with a crime as an immigrant? Your visa could be in danger, which means that you could be deported. Retain a skilled attorney from Fayad Law, P.C. to make sure that your charges are dropped and do not affect your resident status.

Family Law & Immigration
Issues such as divorce and domestic violence could affect your resident status or nonimmigrant status if you do not retain a knowledgeable attorney to help you through your family law process. Contact our firm today to discuss your options.
